Chris Murphy realizes the campaign is slipping away from him but he doesn't want to lose. He is grasping for anything he believes will turn the tide, even deception and lies about me. It is too late for a desperate 'low road' type of strategy as this approach is literally driving voters to my side. One voter in Ashborough East called me on Memorial Day, after having read Annette Young's untruthful tirade against me, to say he had been considering voting for Murphy but would now vote for Hargett. His exact quote to me was - "any fool can see through what Young and Murphy are trying to do and I will tell all my friends not to vote for Murphy". Chris Murphy is marching in lock step down the OLE Dorchester County dirty politics game through his use of lies, misstatements and exaggerations to win any way he can. It will not work this time. I will continue my campaign on the 'high road' of honesty, hard work and integrity in the knowledge that these character traits and beliefs will pay off in the voting booth next Tuesday, June 8.
