In addition to expected funding cuts to schools and teachers, the powerful House Ways & Means Committee is poised to make substantial cuts to Municipalities and Counties even though Ways & Means plans no reduction in the mandated State functions given to Municipalities and Counties. This means that the House Ways & Means Committee is pushing more and more State deficts down to the Municipalities and Counties that will ultimately be passed down to taxpayers. Over in the Senate, Senator Rose has introducted a Bill that would approve cuts in services performed by Municipalities and Counties to be the same as the funding cuts by the State.
